When Completing Deliveries

The driver’s vehicle needs to be empty. We require the driver’s vehicle to be empty so that we can place parcels in the vehicle. We also require them to be empty to prevent damage to the parcels.

The driver’s vehicle must have a sufficient amount of gas to complete the delivery. Drivers will not have time to stop and get gas once you begin delivering.

The driver must keep their phone fully charged. The phone must stay fully charged so that the driver can stay connected with the support team.

When picking up deliveries at our sorting center, the driver must arrive prepared and ready to commence deliveries. There may be a short waiting period while the parcels are placed into the driver’s vehicle. Drivers are expected to stay onsite until all parcels are placed in their vehicles. Once all parcels have been placed in their vehicle, drivers can commence deliveries.

Driver Responsibility

FlashBox drivers are expected to be polite and respectful at all times. This extends to all interactions with merchants, customers, drivers, and parcels. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any rude behaviour, recklessness, or carelessness.

Drivers are not permitted to reach out to customers beyond the capacity of the delivery for any reason. The only circumstance in which this is acceptable is one where the customer has already reached out to customer support. In no way do we allow any abuse of customer information.

FlashBox has a zero-tolerance policy for driving while under the influence of any inhibiting substances. Violating such policies will result in immediate termination.

Penalties

FlashBox drivers need to complete all drop-offs within the delivery window provided. Delivery windows are determined by estimated travel times, local traffic, road closures, and time between drop-offs.

If the driver repeatedly delivers outside of the delivery window, FlashBox holds the right to investigate and suspend the account if necessary. Drivers are held liable for any packages that are damaged, broken, or mishandled during the delivery and will be held responsible for covering any and all payout costs. Drivers must respect the mode of delivery requested by every customer.

If a customer requests their delivery in a specific way, drivers are expected to explicitly follow the instructions. If there are issues in completing the delivery as specified, the driver must contact the support team. Drivers agree to deliver types of parcels assigned to them so long as they are legal and follow all weight, dimension, and packaging requirements made necessary by FlashBox’s Terms and Conditions. Refusal to deliver a parcel based on personal beliefs is permitted, but FlashBox reserves the right to discontinue the Driver’s services at any point.

All merchant and customer information is confidential. Drivers are not permitted whatsoever to share this information with any external parties, and legal action can be taken against a driver if an infringement of privacy occurs.

Background Checks

FlashBox may complete background checks on any driver before or during their partnership with the company. Drivers will be notified before a background check is conducted.

Training

FlashBox drivers must have adequate knowledge of operating the driver app in order to work in partnership with us. If training is required, drivers must complete it before beginning deliveries. Additional training may be required throughout the partnership with FlashBox, including but not limited to, written tests. Any driver who fails a mandatory test may be subject to suspension.
